1. Watch television and films in English

2. Read English books/newspapers
Reading newspapers, books and magazines in English will help the language become a part of your life. These materials give you an opportunity to practice reading English, listen actively to what is being said and develop useful vocabulary words that are relevant for everyday situations.
3. Label things in your house
It will allow you to memorize the names of things, places and people as well as learn new words. You could post pictures or drawings in a big newspaper so that you can label them with what they are (for example paint + “paintbrush” is enough; textbook = book on mathematics)
4. Make notes of new vocabulary
Whenever you learn a new word or phrase try to make a faithful note of how it is said.
