It is important to keep learning new things and enriching your life. These days, there are many ways to do so. You can watch movies or TV shows, listen to music, take a language course or even read a book. However, the biggest way of learning is through watching videos on YouTube.
Want to learn English? Do you want to learn it in the most effective way possible? What are the best methods for learning English from scratch? And how do you know whether what you’re doing is actually working? Well, all this and more is covered in this post.
There is a huge demand for English teachers in India, with the number of job openings expected to grow by over 30% by 2021. That’s a lot of new jobs to fill! But there’s no need to learn a language in order to teach it, and even if you do, many companies won’t require you to have any teaching experience before they hire you.
The problem with learning English is that the amount of time needed to learn it is very high. As a result, many students tend to avoid learning the language, because they simply cannot afford the time required. Fortunately, there are several ways in which you can improve your ability to speak English. See also, how to learn English by yourself.
7 ways to improve your English by yourself
1. Place labels around your home
When you are learning English, it is useful to understand the word. Why? Because the meaning of words often depends on other words that precede and follow them in a text or conversation. In order to be able to recognize these relationships, it’s best if you label objects around your house so that they become extremely familiar over time – especially when shopping for new items in online stores like Amazon.
For this purpose, I installed labels all over my apartment. This can be helpful in identifying objects, but even more importantly it will improve your learning of grammar.
So how do you install labels around your home? Go to a craft store and get some cake dowels and ribbon; they come with English translations printed on them. Take sheets of paper (or better still – hand-printed pages) and attach the printed labels that match each word that you want to learn at any given time wherever relevant.
That way you only need to look at the labels, reading them as if they were Spanish. You will understand all of their nuances and discover how these words tie together in meaning – creating a kind of personal dictionary for any future study. It will greatly improve your overall learning rate by giving you a complete index, with definitions that work on multiple levels when taken individually but also form simple sentences which are very easy to translate into English.
2. Start a blog
Learning English is not just a passing interest at the expense of your real life. It is essential to learn things in case you want to work or travel abroad, get married and deal with women who speak different languages – so as to meet your goal for fluency. In addition, whenever we communicate more than one person needs an opportunity instead of memorizing fresh words from time to time. Having absolute control over when and how many nonverbal expressions we use, who we do not say anything in the presence of and when it is necessary to draw attention – otherwise communicating with everyone becomes similar to making a presentation every time.
3. Change your phone settings
You know, it’s a moving target… That is, there are always Internet channels that have changed their technical characteristics in the last year or two – and now you can find them easily. You do not even need to go out of your home completely. Basically, all smartphone models have an application for changing visual settings, switching languages with satellites worldwide.
4. Read for interest
When you were a child, surely your parents gave you books to read. Even if it may seem that others consider reading as boring – there must have been something weird floating around in their head. You can do the same thing today and get rid of those pictures with violence or sex (even though it will never be completely). As long as you choose modern literature about interesting topics, maybe even before bedtime – for example, when eating ice cream.
5. Write summaries
You can buy a notebook – but if you do not have time for that, it is better to do everything quickly on the laptop (for example at work). At first, this may seem awkward when you are alone in your room or car, after all … It sounds something like depriving others of useful information but then this should be done regularly. Instead of yourself and what happens around me each day? You will always be able to build a journal or catalogue. If a friend has the same question, take his advice.
6. Properly organize your apartment or workplace
I do not know if these things are important for everyone at first – but certainly it is good to make such a list of where everything belongs and how long you have been there, what can be found without questions in each corner of the room (and nothing will go together again ). It may seem that the effort is too much but so many people are committed to this that it will save lots of time.
7. Buy only what you need – and nothing more
There is a curse between my legs; every day something new comes out – sometimes I am sure there was already in place before, just do not notice. The best thing – companies know how to please potential customers with extravagant advertising (kooky stuff, slimy sales practice )
In conclusion, I would like to say that I do not think that you need to buy everything in the above list – but it is better to start with small steps. This does not mean that we should not go for new things, and also for a good life. You May Like is English hard to learn.
